ASC Headquarter held a
meeting on 06^th August 2020 with Mr. Stanislav Lapdius, the Technical
Advisor and Mr. Abdulla AlHammadi , the Chairman of ASC Technical & Judges
Committee.

The following items were mainly
discussed:

    1.  To Organize ASC courses
through Video conference during 2020.

    2.  Follow up the
suggestions made by Technical& Judges Committee in its previous meetings.  

   3.  Study the
potential change to ASC General Regulations in light of latest changes to ISSF General Regulations.

The Tokyo
2020 Olympics will be held next year "with corona", according to the
Organizing Committee's chief executive Toshiro Muto.

Mr Muto added that " the global health crisis will likely not have disappeared by
the time of the postponed Games, which have been moved to 2021 due to the
COVID-19 pandemic. Most nations still have social and travel restrictions in
place.The important thing is to deliver an Olympics for people who must live
with COVID-19."

The decision
to postpone Tokyo Olympics was made by the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe
and International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach in March 2020,
although there are still widespread doubts about the Games taking place
successfully.

The
organizers of Hangzhou 2022 have pledged to use "smart" language
services at the Asian Games.

Important
documents, signs, reports, speeches, press releases, manuals and guides will
need to be translated from Chinese to English during the multi-sport event.

Other
languages will also be used with organizers pledging to provide a
"high-level" service to athletes, team officials, technical
officials, media and other personnel.

A mobile
phone app will also be produced to allow visitors quick translation services.

30th ASC Executive Committee Meeting was held today (20-Jul-2020) via Video Conference at ASC Headquarters, Kuwait. The meeting was attended by all the honorable members of Executive Committee.

Apart from examining reports of ASC President, Vice-Presidents, Secretary General and Chairman of Committees, the Executive Committee discussed the change in Tokyo Olympics date, activate E-Learning Courses and other related items.

Senegal and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) have mutually agreed to postpone the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) Dakar 2022 to 2026.

The IOC Executive Board
approved the updated Tokyo 2020 Qualification System for the Shooting sport.

The
allocation of the 12 Quota Places (one in each individual event) according to
the World Ranking will be done based on the World Ranking list of March 31,
2020 and points earned at one ISSF World Cup in Rifle/Pistol and one ISSF World
Cup in Shotgun to be held in March-April of 2021.

The new
deadline for Tokyo 2020 Qualification in the Shooting sport is June 6, 2021.
