Japan Rifle Shooting Sport Federation and Japan Clay Target Shooting Association Host Dinner for Shooting Sport Leaders During the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026

On the sidelines of the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026, the Japan Rifle Shooting Sport Federation (JRSF) and the Japan Clay Target Shooting Association (JCTSA) jointly hosted a dinner in Aichi-Nagoya, bringing together leaders and representatives of the shooting sport community.

The dinner was attended by ISSF President H.E. Luciano Rossi and Mrs. Rossi, ASC President H.E. Sheikh Salman AlSabah and Mrs. Abrar AlBarrak (Spouse ASC President), ASC Vice President H.E. Kichiiro Matsumaru, and ASC Secretary General H.E. Eng. Duaij AlOtaibi, together with the Technical Delegates of the shooting competitions and other distinguished guests.

Representing the Japanese shooting sport community were H.E. Seiko Hashimoto, President of the JRSF and H.E. Jun Doi, President of the JCTSA; Mr. Wataru Fuji, Secretary General of the JRSF; and Mr. Ryo Kamikubo, Secretary General of the JCTSA.

The gathering provided a valuable opportunity for leaders and representatives of the international, Asian and Japanese shooting sport communities to exchange views and strengthen the spirit of friendship, cooperation and partnership supporting the development of shooting sport in Asia and beyond.

During the dinner, H.E. Seiko Hashimoto and H.E. Jun Doi expressed their appreciation to the ASC President H.E. Sheikh Salman AlSabah for his continued cooperation and support for shooting sport in Japan and Asia.

ISSF President H.E. Luciano Rossi also expressed his appreciation for the leadership of the ASC President and his continued efforts towards the development of shooting sport across Asia.

In his remarks, ASC President H.E. Sheikh Salman AlSabah expressed his sincere gratitude to His Majesty Emperor Naruhito, the Government and people of Japan, the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games Organizing Committee (AINAGOC), the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), the Japan Rifle Shooting Sport Federation and the Japan Clay Target Shooting Association for their efforts in successfully hosting the Games.

He extended his special thanks to OCA President H.H. Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani for his distinguished leadership and continued support for the Asian Games and the development of sport across Asia, as well as to all the dedicated organisers and volunteers, Nagoya City and Aichi Prefecture, for their tireless efforts, warm hospitality and valuable contributions to the successful staging of the Games.

The ASC President also congratulated Japan’s Taichi Hinata on winning the first Asian Games gold medal in shooting event, recognizing the achievement as a reflection of the determination and hard work of the athlete, coaches and federation.

Furthermore ASC President praised ASC Vice President H.E. Kichiiro Matsumaru for his leadership and contribution to the promotion and development of Olympic shooting sport in Asia and Japan.

Looking ahead, the ASC President reaffirmed the Confederation’s commitment to further strengthening cooperation with the, Japan Rifle Shooting Sport Federation and Japan Clay Target Shooting Association, including through the organization of championships, training camps and coaching courses.

The dinner concluded in a warm and friendly atmosphere, reflecting the strong bonds of friendship and cooperation among the Asian shooting sport family, the ISSF and their Japanese hosts during the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026.
