As preparations continue for the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026, the Third Technical Delegates Meeting and Venue Inspection for the shooting competitions was successfully conducted on 24 - 25 June 2026 in Nagoya, Japan.
The visit to the shooting sport venue and inspection was carried out by Abdulla Al-Hammadi, the Technical Delegate for Shotgun, who reviewed the competition venues and arrangements to ensure full compliance with ASC/ISSF Rules and the requirements of the Asian Games.
The shooting competitions of the 20th Asian Games is scheduled to take place from 17 September to 02 October 2026 at the Aichi Prefectural General Shooting Gallery in Nagoya, Japan.
During the venue visit, detailed inspections were conducted at the Rifle/ Pistol and Shotgun Ranges, with particular attention given to athlete facilities, field-of-play requirements, technical infrastructure, and competition operations. The inspection confirmed that preparations are progressing well and that the facilities are being developed to provide the best possible environment for athletes, officials, and spectators.
The Technical Delegates Meeting provided an important platform for discussions between the Organizing Committee and technical officials to review operational plans and finalize key technical aspects ahead of the Games.
Hotels
The Organizing Committee confirmed that five (5) official hotels, including one (1) Main Hotel, have been designated for the shooting competitions. The Main Hotel will provide all key services and facilities, including breakfast, a fitness gym, and laundry services. Athletes and officials accommodated in the other official hotels will have convenient access to these services at the Main Hotel.
All five official hotels are located within walking distance of one another, allowing athletes and officials staying in any of the hotels to easily access the Main Hotel and its available facilities.

Transportation
The Organizing Committee also presented detailed transportation arrangements for the Games. ITOs and NTOs will be accommodated in separate hotels to support efficient event operations.
Nagoya Airport has been designated as the official airport for the customs clearance of firearms and ammunition. All National Olympic Committees (NOCs) have already been informed of the required customs clearance procedures.
Transportation will be provided by the Organizing Committee for all NOCs from Nagoya Airport to their respective official hotels. In addition, dedicated shuttle services will operate between the official hotels and the competition venues in accordance with the official training and competition schedules, ensuring smooth and efficient transportation throughout the Games.
The ASC appreciates the continued commitment and excellent cooperation of the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Organizing Committee, the Japan Rifle Shooting Sport Federation, the Japan Clay Target Shooting Association, and all stakeholders in delivering world-class shooting competitions for the 20th Asian Games.
