43rd ASC Executive Committee Meeting Successfully Held on 11th July 2026, via Video Conference.

The Executive Committee of the Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC) held its 43rd meeting on Saturday, 11 July 2026, via video conference. The meeting was presided by ASC President H.E. Sheikh Salman AlSabah and attended by the Executive Committee members and Chairpersons of ASC Committees and Sub-committees.

At the meeting, the Committee reviewed the ASC activities, approved the 2025 Auditor's Report, reviewed preparations for upcoming competitions and preparations for the 20th Asian Games 2026 Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, approved the 2027–2028 ASC Calendar, and adopted the necessary decisions on agenda items.

The Executive Committee further approved some amendments to the ASC General Regulations as part of the ASC commitment to keep its Regulations up to date and consistent with the latest ISSF changes to Rules.

The Executive Committee welcomed the significant achievement of increasing the number of Olympic quota places for Asia from 48 to 54 for the LA 2028 Olympic Games, and discussed the distribution of the 54 continental quota places through five Asian Championships to be held during 2027–2028.

The attendees discussed the importance of further promoting youth activities and creating greater opportunities for the next generation of athletes. They also reaffirmed their commitment to encouraging greater female participation in shooting sport throughout Asia.

In the course of the meeting, the ASC President emphasized the strong partnership with the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) and commended the leadership of H.E. Luciano Rossi, President of the ISSF. He reaffirmed the ASC's commitment to working closely with the ISSF to further develop the sport across the Asian continent.

The ASC President also conveyed his sincere appreciation to OCA President H.E. Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, the Government and people of Japan, and the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games Organizing Committee for their excellent preparations for the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the ASC President expressed his sincere gratitude to the Executive Committee members, and all ASC members and personnel for their dedicated efforts in advancing Olympic shooting sport across Asia.

He also expressed his confidence that the Asian continent would continue its remarkable success and achievements in the years ahead.
