Asian Shotgun Championship 2026 Officially Inaugurated with Grand Opening Ceremony in Doha in the Presence of ASC President H.E. Sheikh Salman AlSabah

The Asian Shotgun Championship 2026 officially commenced this evening at the Lusail Shooting Range, Doha, Qatar, with a vibrant opening ceremony celebrating Qatar’s cultural heritage and traditional music. The championship will be held from 12 to 22 January 2026 in Doha, bringing together Asia’s top shotgun shooters for ten days of elite competition.

The prestigious ceremony was graced by H.E. Sheikh Salman AlSabah, President of the Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC), along with H.E. Sheikh Ali AlKhalifa, ASC Honorary President, H.E. Dr. Meshaal AlNasr, President of the Qatar Shooting and Archery Association, H.E. Oleg Pochivalov ASC Executive Committee Member and Secretary General of Kazakhstan National Sports Shooting Federation, honored guests, and senior sports officials. Also in attendance were Technical Delegate Ms. Haiyuan Yu (China), and the International Technical Officials (ITOs).

In his opening speech, On behalf of the member federations of the Asian Shooting Confederation and himself, the ASC President expressed his sincere gratitude to His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar, H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, H.E. Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, and the Government of the State of Qatar for their valuable support in hosting the Asian Shotgun Championship 2026 and the 14th Asian Youth Training and Coaching Camp in Doha.

He also conveyed his appreciation to the Qatar Shooting and Archery Association, its President H.E. Dr. Meshaal AlNasr, and Secretary General Mr. Jasseem Shaheen Al Sulaiti and the entire Organizing Committee for their outstanding efforts and support in preparing for the championship.

He further conveyed his best wishes to all participating athletes, encouraging them to deliver their highest performances throughout the event.

The Asian Shotgun Championship 2026 promises world-class competition, sportsmanship, and memorable performances as athletes compete for top honors in Doha.
