Asian Continental Quota Places for LA Olympic Games 2028 Increased from 48 to 54, Gaining 6 Additional Quotas, as ASC Extends Gratitude to ISSF President H.E. Luciano Rossi for the Support

We are pleased to announce that the number of Olympic Quota Places allocated to the Asian continent has been increased from 48 to 54 gaining 6 additional quotas. This accomplishment marks a significant milestone for Asia and reflects the exceptional development initiatives undertaken by the ASC Executive Committee over the past years. ASC achieved this milestone through the guidance of its Executive Committee supported by the dedicated efforts of the Asian federations, athletes, and officials.

This increase in Asian Quota will not only enhance our representation at the LA 2028 Olympic Games but also strengthen our competitive presence on the international stage, playing an important role in the continued development of our beloved shooting sport across Asia.

On behalf of the ASC member federations and Executive Committee, we extend our sincere gratitude to the ISSF President H.E. Luciano Rossi for his support to the Asian Continent and to the ISSF Executive Committee for recognition of our athletes’ progress. We look forward to further strengthening our relationship with the ISSF as we work together to achieve positive and measurable outcomes.

The ASC will distribute the Continental Quota Places in five Asian Championships during 2027–2028 and encourages every Asian athlete and federation to continue their preparations with renewed energy and confidence.
