ASC Leadership Meet with the Chairperson of ASC Women Empowerment Sub-Committee

The ASC President H.E. Sheikh Salman AlSabah and ASC Secretary General H.E. Eng. Duaij AlOtaibi together with the Chairperson of ASC Planning & Development Committee H.E. Obaid AlOsaimi held a meeting with the Chairperson of ASC Women Empowerment Sub-Committee Ms. Maryam AlShehhi at ASC Headquarters in Kuwait.

The discussion was centered on strengthening initiatives that support the development of women in the Olympic shooting sport across Asia.
Key discussions included the importance of focusing on younger age groups, particularly junior athletes, as part of the committee’s future strategy. The meeting also involved reviewing previous data and performance insights to guide the creation of an initial action plan for the upcoming phase.

This plan will include workshops, training programs, and capacity-building activities aimed at empowering women and enhancing their participation in the sport.
The ASC leadership reaffirmed their commitment to advancing opportunities for Asian women and supporting ongoing efforts of the ASC Women Empowerment Sub-Committee.
