Shymkent, KAZ to Host 16th Asian Shooting Championship (all events) with 756 Athletes taking 1407 starts, 218 team officials and 29 Asian Federations

The 16th Asian Shooting Championship, scheduled to commence on August 16, 2025, in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, is ready to be a landmark event in the Asian Shooting Sport calendar. Bringing together 756 athletes and 218 team officials from 29 Asian federations, the championship will witness 1401 starts across all shooting disciplines.

The event promises intense competition among Asia’s top shooters, creating an atmosphere filled with anticipation, excitement, and national pride. With athletes aiming for top honors, Shymkent is set to witness remarkable performances and unforgettable moments.

The Technical Delegates of the championship have also expressed their readiness and support for the successful conduct of the event.

Mr. Abdulla AlHammadi, Technical Delegate for Shotgun, stated, “All preparations are well underway to ensure a fair and high-standard competition in Shotgun events.”

Mr. Khaled AlJarayed, Technical Delegate for Rifle/Pistol, added, “We are working closely with the organizing committee to deliver an efficient and successful championship for all participants.”
