41st ASC Executive Committee Meeting Successfully Held via Video Conference

The 41st Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC) Executive Committee Meeting was held today, Saturday, 5 July 2025, via video conference. The meeting was attended by the distinguished Executive Committee Members and Chairpersons of ASC Committees.

ASC President H.E. Sheikh Salman AlSabah opened the meeting by expressing his gratitude to the ASC Honorary President, Vice Presidents, Executive Committee Members, and Chairpersons of Committees for their dedicated efforts in advancing the Olympic shooting sport across Asia. He also sincerely thanked the ASC Secretary General H.E. Eng. Duaij AlOtaibi for his continuous efforts to ensure the effective functioning of the ASC Headquarters.

The ASC President acknowledged the strong partnership with the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF), recognizing the ISSF’s valuable contributions to the global and Asian development of the Olympic shooting sport. He reaffirmed ASC's commitment to working closely with ISSF to further grow the sport across the continent.

During the meeting, heartfelt tributes were paid to the late H.E. KUO Chung-Hsing, ASC Honorary President, honoring his legacy and passion for shooting sport development, and to late H.E. Ali Salem, President of the Syrian Arab Shooting Federation, recognizing his lifelong dedication to the sport. The ASC Executive Committee expressed deepest condolences to their families and the shooting community.

The meeting also reviewed key ASC activities from the past year and discussed the status of upcoming ASC-supervised competitions and the Asian Games 2026 Aichi - Nagoya, Japan. Several important proposals were discussed and approved, including the formation of the ASC Athletes Sub Committee and the ASC Women Empowerment Sub Committee, as well as the changing the titles of the Asian Cups to Asian Championships in the year 2026. These decisions aim to further strengthen and enhance the future of shooting sport in the Asian Continent.

The decisions taken during the meeting are expected to positively impact the growth and development of shooting sport across Asia.
