Asian Shotgun Cup 2025 Officially Inaugurated with Grand Opening Ceremony in Linfen, China – A Celebration of Sport, Culture, and Unity

The Asian Shotgun Cup 2025 officially commenced this evening at the Linfen Shooting Range with a vibrant opening ceremony that highlighted the rich cultural heritage and music of the historic city of Linfen.

The prestigious event was graced by the presence of high-level honored guests and sports officials. Leading the ceremony was the President of the Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC), His Excellency Sheikh Salman AlSabah, accompanied by the ASC Secretary General, H.E. Eng. Duaij AlOtaibi. Also in attendance were senior Chinese officials including H.E. Li Yung Feng, Secretary of the CPC Linfen Municipal Party Committee, and H.E. Wang Yanfeng, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Linfen Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Linfen City.

Representing the Chinese Shooting Association (CSA) were Vice Presidents H.E. Yifu Weng and H.E. Jingsong Li. Other distinguished guests included H.E. Wang Yuan, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Committee; Mr. Yang Jianguo, Director of the Publicity Department of the Municipal Party Committee; Mr. Wang Yuan, Deputy Mayor of Linfen City; and Mr. Li Ruiyu, Director of Linfen Foreign Affairs.

Mr. Abdulla AlHammadi, ASC Coordinator and Chairperson of the ASC Technical and Judges Committee, along with Technical Delegate Mr. Nooruddeen Alyasi and the International Technical Officials (ITOs), were also present. The ceremony concluded with enthusiastic participation from athletes representing various Asian nations.

During his opening address, ASC President extended his heartfelt gratitude to the Chinese Shooting Association, its Vice Presidents H.E. Yifu Weng and H.E. Jingsong Li, and the entire Organizing Committee for their outstanding support in preparing for the event. He also conveyed his appreciation to the government and people of Linfen for hosting the competition and ensuring a memorable start to the competition.

Also ASC President expressed his best wishes to all participating athletes, encouraging them to deliver their highest performances on this esteemed platform.

The Asian Shotgun Cup 2025 promises thrilling competitions in Trap and Skeet events over the coming days, as top marksmen and markswomen from across the continent compete for glory.
