The much-anticipated Asian Rifle Pistol Championship commenced at the Senayan Shooting Range in Jakarta with a fascinating opening ceremony held this evening. The prestigious event was graced by highly recognized guests, including the Honorary President of the Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC), H.E. Kuo Chung-Hsing, HRH Prince Khalid AlSaud (Vice president of ASC and President of Saudi Shooting Federation) and H.E. Jony Supriyanto (ASC ExCo member and President of the Indonesian Shooting Association) and H.E. Kim Yen Bui Thi (ASC ExCo member) alongside various ITO's and athletes.

A total of 385 athletes from 26 nations are competing for 256 medals, with 16 quota places for the Paris Olympic Games at stake. The International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) collaborates with the Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC) to exclusively broadcast the events globally on various platforms.
