Grand Opening Ceremony Marks the Commencement of the 15th Asian Shooting Championship 2023 in Changwon, Korea

The 15th Asian Shooting Championship 2023, a pivotal event offering 24 Quota Places for the Paris Olympic Games 2024, began in a spectacular fashion today with a total participants of 813 athletes taking 1,317 starts and 420 ITOs and Team Officials from 30 nations.

The grand opening ceremony was graced by esteemed dignitaries representing the Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC), underscoring the significance of this highly anticipated competition.

The event commenced with a warm welcome to a distinguished assembly from H.E. Mr. Hong Nam Pyo (Governor of Changwon City) Korean officials to the guests. H.E. Eun Soo Kim (President of Korean Shooting Federation), H.E. Yongjae Lee (Secondary General of KSF) welcomed H.E. Sheikh Salman AlSabah, the President of the Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC), the officials from Korean Government, H.E. Deyab AlRashidi (Kuwait Ambassador in Korea), H.E. Kiichiro Matsumaru (ASC VP) and H.E. Javaid Lodhi (ASC Vice President and Competition Coordinator), H.E. Joni Supriyanto (ASC ExCo). The presence of these influential figures further emphasized the prestige and importance of the championship.
