Iran Secures Gold and India Takes Bronze on Day One of ISSF World Cup Finals in Baku 2023

On the first day of the finals in the ISSF World Cup Rifle/Pistol 2023 held in Baku, Azerbaijan, there was great excitement as the best shooters from around the world gathered to compete for the top prize. The atmosphere was electric as the athletes took to the range, aiming for the gold.

In the Men's 10m Air Pistol event, it was Iran's Sajad POORHOSSEINI LAFMEJANI who took home the coveted gold medal. He had a strong performance throughout the competition and managed to hold his nerve in the final round to clinch victory. Sajad's win was well-deserved and a great moment for Iran in the ISSF World Cup Rifle/Pistol 2023.

Meanwhile, in the Women's 10m Air Pistol event, India's Rhythm SANGWAN won the bronze medal. It was a hard-fought victory for Rhythm, who had to contend with some tough competition from the other shooters.

The Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC) congratulated all the athletes for their outstanding performances in the first day of the finals. The ASC praised the high level of competition and the spirit of sportsmanship that was displayed throughout the day.
