First Medal for Asian at ISSF World Cup 2023 Doha, QAT

On March 11th, 2023, India won its first medal at the ISSF Shotgun World Cup in Doha, Qatar. The medal won in the men's trap event by Indian shooter Prithviraj TONDAIMAN and put India on the medals table with the bronze medal.

Prithviraj shot a score of 22 out of 50 in the Bronze medal match, which was enough to secure the bronze medal. He narrowly missed out on the silver medal, which is won by Great Britain shooter Matthew John, who shot a score of 30. The gold medal was won by Turkey shooter Mauro Oguzhan TUZUN, who shot a score of 33.

This is a significant achievement for Prithviraj and India, as it is the first medal that India has won in the ISSF Shotgun World Cup in Doha, and also the first medal won by any Asian country in this competition. ASC President Congratulate to Prithviraj TONDAIMAN on this achievement!
