Outstanding Achievements by Indian, Korean, and Uzbekistan Athletes in the 15th Asian Airgun Championship Daegu, KOR

The 15 Asian Airgun Championship ended today in Daegu, Korea.  A total of 225 athletes from 17 Asian countries fairly competed in the Rifle/Pistol events. The Championship happened from 9-19 November 2022 with senior, junior, and youth events.

In this Championship, the Indian, Korean, and Uzbekistan athletes made an outstanding performance and achievements. India is ranked first in medal standing with a total of 38 medals (25 Gold, 9 Silver, and 4 Bronze), whereas Korea came second with a total of 29 medals (3 Gold, 14 Silver, and 12 Bronze. Uzbekistan came third in the medal standing with a total of 6 medals (3 Silver and 3 Bronze). The performance noticed by top three countries in this Championship reflects the strong leadership of the National Rifle Association of India, Korea Shooting Federation, and Shooting Sport Federation of Uzbekistan and the excellent training and preparation by athletes.

Finally, the ASC wishes Asian federations good luck in upcoming Championships and encourages all member federations to participate and apply in Asian Youth Camps to elevate the skills of its athletes.
