Closer look into the 15th Asian Airgun Championship Daegu, Korea

The 15th Asian Airgun Championship Daegu, Korea will begin in nearly two weeks time. The Organizing Committee is at its most preparation to ensure the outstanding organization of the Championship. The Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC) through its Technical Delegate (TD) Mr. Wataru Fujii's report is fortunate to know that a total of 14 nations, 164 athletes, and 320 starts will participate in the Championship. This Championship is unique of its nature since it will be the first Rifle/Pistol competition to count towards the New Asian ranking and it will be a test event for media coverage and live streaming to broadcast the latest results and event finals to the shooting sport community.

Moreover, the ASC Vice President H.E. Kiichiro Matsumaru will be presenting the ASC President H.E. Sheikh Salman AlSabah in this Championship. As a sideline of this competition, the ASC Vice President will meet with Korea Shooting Federation and the Organizing Committee of the 15th Asian Shooting Championship Changwon, Korea (22 October 2023 - 2 November2023) to ensure all preparations are as planned. It is worth noting that the Asian Shooting Championship will have a total of 24 quota places for Paris Olympic Games 2024 that will be distributed to qualified Asian athletes.
