ASC Delegation in 31st SEA Games 2021

With a kind invitation from the Organizing Committee Chair of 31^st SEA Games and Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, H.E. Nguyen Van Hung, and President of Vietnam Shooting Federation, H.E. Do Van Binh, the Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC) delegation headed by ASC President, H.E. Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah attended the 31^st SEA Games, Hanoi Vietnam. This visit was a unique opportunity to witness the Games and meet with ASC member federations to elevate the shooting sport in Asia.

The ASC President have witnessed enthusiasm, hard work and great efforts from the organizing committee, Vietnam Shooting Federation headed by H.E. Do Van Binh, and volunteers to make the prestigious 31^st SEA Games a huge success. The ASC delegation also observed well managed and constructed shooting ranges with the latest technologies that helped with a smooth and successful competition. Also, H.E. Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah thanked the volunteers for their outstanding support to make the Games successful.

As a sideline of the Games, the ASC President met with several member federations, such Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Cambodia Shooting Federations as well as the National Shooting Sport Association of Thailand and discussed the challenges that faces these federations and the cooperation between the federations and ASC to improve the shooting sport in Asia.  The ASC President conveyed the privilege and honor of meeting with distinguished officials, along with members of the Asian shooting family that added to the successful outcome of his visit.

Moreover, the ASC delegation and Vietnam Shooting federation were honored to meet with the Chairman of Organizing Committee and Minister of Culture, Sport, and Tourism H.E. Nguyen Van Hung. In this visit, the ASC President and the Minister discussed the challenges, solutions, and cooperation to develop the shooting sport in Vietnam. In addition, H.E. Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah congratulated Vietnam for the outstanding performance of Vietnam athletes not only in shooting, but also in other sports and the successful organization of 31^st SEA Games. Additionally, the ASC President conveyed to the Minister and Vietnam Shooting Federation his deep appreciation for their generous hospitality and wished Vietnam continuous progress and great prosperity in the future.
