ASC Refreshment Course on ISSF New Competition Format (Shotgun)

Today, the Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC) conducted a refreshment course on ISSF New Competition Format on shotgun that was given by Mr. Razi Khan who is a member of ASC Technical and Judges Committee. The purpose of the course is to enlighten and prepare ASC juries and referees for ISSF and ASC competitions that will implement the new format in all upcoming competitions, including Olympic Games Paris 2024. The course was attended by 34 Juries and Referees from member federations. Mr. Razi Khan explained Trap and Skeet Olympic events under the new format, including Mixed Team events.

Additionally, Mr. Razi elaborated more on reporting times, cartridge control, and presentation as well as malfunctions during the final stages, which are procedures part of the new format. Moreover, the course also entailed protests during semifinals & medal match and coaching timeout. Lastly, Q&A sessions was opened to all participants and answered by Mr. Razi Khan and Mr. Abdullah Al-Hammadi (Chairman of Technical and Judges Committee).

Finally, the ASC always urges member federations to apply and attend its learning courses since it is the best tool to elevate the their knowledge and keep them up-to-date with the latest changes to the shooting sport.
