ASC President Hosts the Delegation of Shooting Association of Maldives

The annual grand competition of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Grand Prix got underway at Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex on Monday 21 March 2022.

The ASC President, H.E. Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah, welcomed the delegation of the Shooting Association of Maldives, H.E. Brigadier General Hamid Shafeeq (President), H.E. Lieutenant Colonel Ahmad Zubair (Vice President), and Lieutenant Colonel Ahmad Shamin (Secretary General), to attend the competition, explore the training facilities of Kuwait Shooting Federation (KSF), and collaborate and improve the shooting sport in the Republic of Maldives. The delegate took a tour in the facilities of Kuwait Shooting Federation and witnessed the unofficial training of the competition.

Moreover, the delegation met with the ASC President and ASC Secretary General, H.E. Eng. Duaij Al-Otaibi, and H.E. Obaid Al Osaimi (Chairperson of ASC Planning and Development committee and Secretary General of KSF). In the meeting, both parties discussed several topics about how to improve the shooting sport in the Republic of Maldives and the required support to elevate the shooting association.

At the end of the visit ASC and Shooting Association of Maldives exchanged memorial gifts and Brigadier Hamid invited ASC to visit the Republic of Maldives in the near future.
