Press Release - Conclusion of 13th ASC Executive Committee Meeting
The 13th ASC Executive Committee Meeting was held in Doha Qatar on 19th December 2009 at Hotel Intercontinental.
The President of Asian Shooting Confederation H E. Sheikh Salman Al Sabah presided over the meeting and welcomed all the members of ASC Executive Committee.
H.E. Sheikh Salman Al Sabah congratulated his host on the National Day Qatar thanked all members of Qatar Shooting Association for the warmth and hospitality showed to the Asian Shooting Confederation delegation their stay in Doha - Qatar for the 13th ASC Executive Committee Meeting.
As an indicator of honor, ASC Diamond Pins were awarded to ASC Vice President H.E. Sheikh Abdullah Rashid Al Khalifa, Executive Committee Members H.E. Arturo Macapagal, H.E. Vanchigdorj Otgondemberel and also to the President of Qatar Shooting Association H.E. Mohammed Bin Ali Ghanem.
The following Decisions and proceedings were taken during the course of this important meeting:
Approved the preparations and plan of action for the ISSF General Assembly which is scheduled to be held on 28th and 29th July 2010. The ASC Executive Committee decided to have unified goals in terms of proposals, funding for training courses, supply of equipment and in particular for allocation of ISSF funds for Asian Confederation Members. All ASC member Federations were encouraged to increase the representation from Asia in the ISSF Governing body and to send all their nomination forms for elections or re-elections to ISSF Secretary General not later than two months before the elections.
The 4th Asian Air Gun Championship in 2012 was awarded to Kuwait Shooting Federation.
Approved Establishing ASC Training Academy.
Iran Shooting Federation was selected to host the "C" Coaching Course - Shotgun to be held in the year 2010
National Rifle Shooting Association of Bangladesh was selected to host the "C" Coaching Course in Rifle to be held in the year 2010.
Chinese shooting Association was selected to host the "C" Coaching Course in Pistol to be held in the year 2010.
Proposal to include Anti Doping lectures during every ASC "C" Coaching Courses were approved.
It was agreed that the 14th Executive Committee Meeting be held in Munich 26th July 2010 prior to the ISSF General Assembly Meeting. The 15th ASC Executive Committee to be held in 16th November 2010 in Guangzhou China followed by the ASC General Assembly will be held on 17th November 2010
