1st Asian Shotgun Championships 2011 has been successfully completed   

The 1st Asian Shotgun Championship which has been held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 21st to 1st of December 2011 has been successfully conducted and completed. The Championship has been attended by 183 athletes from 17 Countries, of which 131 were Men and 52 Women. In general, the weather conditions throughout the Championships were good, except for a short interruption of approximately half an hour of heavy rain during one of the Double Trap qualifying rounds.

 

                 


According to the Technical Delegate’s report, the organizational standard of the Championship was at a very high level and very well managed in accordance with all ASC and ISSF Rules and Regulations.

 

      

All the necessary facilities were provided by the Organizing Committee in order to ensure the successful conduction of the Championships as well as comfortable and pleasant stay for the participating athletes and officials. These include:  a large club house with administration office, rooms for media as well as for juries and referees, Anti-Doping Control room with proper facilities and equipment. There were also a swimming pool and a large food court within the Shooting Complex, with Wireless internet available for athletes and officials. 

 
It is important to mention that two new Asian Records were established at the 1st Asian Shotgun Championship, one of which equals to the world record. The Trap Women Team has established a new Asian Record with a score of 212, while the Double Trap Men Individual has established a new Asian Record with a score of 148 which equals to the World Record. Meanwhile at the Skeet Men Individual event, two records have been equaled to the Asian Record with a score of 124 and the Asian Finals Record with a score of 149.
