“The best Championship” said the ISSF Vice-President Wahdan, commenting on the excellent results of the 2011 ISSF Shotgun World Championship just closed in Belgrade.
“This has been one of the best Shotgun World Championship I have ever attended” The ISSF Vice-President, and Technical Delegate for this competition, Mr. Medhat Wahdan, said in his closing speech, at the Kovilovo Shooting Range of Belgrade, Serbia.
“We have to thank the organizers and our friend Milan Sotra (the President of the Organizing Committee) for offering us this wonderful conditions”.
“I have on my report nine new or equalled world records: numbers are telling us that this has been a great competition, also in terms of results.” Mr. Wahdan said.
“Our shooters have reached great picks. I believe this is the way to continue” The ISSF Vide President concluded.
It was the Russian Federation which finished atop of the medal standings, with an overall of 12 medals, followed by China and USA in second and third place, respectively. A total of 60 medals, including Junior and Team events, were assigned during this 2011 ISSF Shotgun World Championship in Belgrade, while 5 Olympic Quota Places, the entrance tickets to the next 2012 Olympic Games, were distributed in these days.
