ASC “C” Training and Coaching Course – Trap, Double Trap – Zahle, Lebanon

ASC “C“ Training and Coaching Course – Trap, Double Trap was successfully conducted at the Beqaa Shooting Club in Zahle, Lebanon and was attended by eleven coaches and nine athletes with the total number of participants reaching 20 people from various countries such as Kuwait, Lebanon, Jordan, Oman and Morocco. The participants were divided into two groups separating coaches and athletes.
H.E. Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah, President of Asian Shooting Confederation has attended the opening ceremony of the Course as well as coordinated the Course Technically. ASC President has presented a plate to H.E. Ziad Richa, President of Lebanon Shooting and Hunting Federation for his outstanding efforts towards successful conduction of the Course. The Opening Ceremony of the Course was also attended by Mr. Antoine Chartier, Chairman of the Lebanese Olympic Committee who was awarded with ASC Diamond Pin as a highest honor.
The Course was conducted to improve the performance and enhance the knowledge and experience of the participants, and according to the review of the Organizing Committee and the Technical Coordinator the aim of the Course was accomplished successfully with the Coaches and the Athletes benefiting plenty, especially the young athletes.
The translator for non English speaking participants was available for the theoretical sessions of the course.
In practical parts and technical parts of shooting, the Course Instructor invested maximum time to ensure that everybody understood what was being explained. During the practical session, all participants were explained many practical possibilities and everybody had a chance to try it practically on shooters.
To ensure the implementation of the theoretical sessions is being done appropriately, the Course Instructor was monitoring the activities of all participants during the Practical Sessions and commenting their actions to improve their position, stability and many other things. The sessions were held with athletes present and coaches supervising the athletes and giving them instructions as well as monitoring the gun handling and movements.
The anti-doping awareness lecture was conducted on the 5th Day of the Course, with explanation of WADA and ISSF anti doping regulations. All the participants were very active and the course instructor received questions from every participant. All questions were clarified immediately.
