Asian Shooting Confederation President Visits the Republic of Maldives

 

The Asian Shooting Confederation President, H.E. Sheikh Salman Al Sabah accompanied by the Assistant Secretary General of Kuwait Shooting Federation, Dr. Nedhal Alasem visited the Republic of Maldives upon the invitation of H.E Mohammed Zahir, President of Shooting Association of Maldives.

The Asian Shooting Confederation delegation was warmly welcomed to the Republic of Maldives by the President of the Maldives Shooting Federation, Board Members and local dignitaries.

 

The Asian Shooting Confederation delegation made a courtesy visit to President of the Republic of Maldives H.E Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom.

The President of Asian Shooting Confederation also had discussions with the Maldives Minister of Defense and National Security Hon. Ismail Shafeeu, Minister of Youth and Sports. Hon. Mohamed Waheed Deen, President of Maldives Olympic Committee H.E Zahir Nasser and other distinguished Committee members.

 

The Asian Shooting Confederation President H.E. Sheikh Salman Al Sabah had a working meeting with the President of Shooting Association of Maldives H.E Maj. Gen Mohamed Zahir. The subject of the meeting pertained to the development of Shooting Sports in Maldives and strengthening the cooperation between Asian Shooting Confederation and Shooting Association of Maldives.

The delegations also visited the Shooting Range at Girifushi Training Center and the proposed future shooting facility at Hullumale.

 

 

The Asian Shooting Confederation President expressed enthusiasm to facilitate where possible with programs for development of youth and junior shooters in Maldives.

 

The Asian Shooting Confederation delegation returned to Kuwait after wishing his hosts every success for the future.
